For my birthday last year, the man got me the Ninja Foodi Deluxe, and I have been obsessed with using it. It has 8 different functions for cooking. Everything from slow cooker to air fryer. This option comes with an additional lid for the pressure cooker, slow cooker styles, as well as with a pot, a fryer basket and two roasting racks. Admittedly I have only used a few of the functions thus far, and while the price is definitely an investment, it has made dinner time so much easier.
Chicken Pot Pie Soup – I pressure cooked the chicken, diced it up, and set it to the side while I sautéed the onions and garlic. Added the rest of the ingredients to the (potatoes, chicken broth, vegetables, diced chicken) to the sautéed onions and garlic. Cook in the slow cooker for about 10 minutes then added the potatoes to my Ninja Blender (also a gift for my birthday the previous year, lol). Blended those in coconut milk, then poured the mixture back into the slow cooker. The man REALLY like this recipe as well. It made so much that I froze half of the soup in the freezer for a later date. It reheated nicely.
Air Fryer Chicken Leg/Drumsticks – easy and incredibly delicious. The chicken was perfect, crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside.
Air Fryer Potatoes and Chicken – this one came with the recipe book. I used 4 white russet potatoes, cubed, 2 cuts of chicken breast on the deluxe reversible rack – pressure cooked for 5 mins. Added a cup of broccoli, some barbeque sauce and broiled for about 15 minutes, I will say I think I broiled it about 5 minutes to long but over all I will be using this recipe again.
I have another recipe I’d like to try again… I am not entirely sure what I did wrong, but the chicken came out rubbery and the broccoli was as hard as a rock. Marinara Chicken
